Sirasa attack: Warrant issued on 13th suspect

Colombo Fort Magistrate and Additional District Judge Lanka Jayaratne yesterday issued a warrant for the arrest one of the suspects (13th suspect) who is alleged to be involved in the attack of Sirasa head office at Braybrooke Place, Hunupitiya on April 1, 2010.

The Slave Island Police took 16 suspects into custody in connection with the attack on Sirasa head office. The Police told court that two of the suspects addresses were not available to issue summons on them.

The Judge directed the suspects who were present in court yesterday to appear again on May 2, 2011. Inspector Sujith Ganganath of the Slave Island police is also assisting in investigations.Senior Attorney UR de Silva watched the interests of Sirasa Management.

Attorney Sudhashini Gunaratne appeared for the suspects.
