Executive, legislative and judiciary work in harmony - Secretary to President

Sri Lankan Parliament plays a most vital and crucial role despite the Executive Presidential system, said Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga, addressing the 3rd Asia Regional Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Sunday.

The Executive, the Legislative and the Judiciary have always acted in a manner that has ensured the well-being of the people of the Motherland.

"These three institutions also have understood their respective roles and have complemented each other to ensure that development of the people and for the people are not jeopardized at any juncture. In defeating the most brutal terrorist organization, this harmony was evident," he said.
