Positive trading

Yesterday's trading session at the Colombo bourse was positive, with keen interest seen in the oil palm sector.

The ASPI appreciated 225.19 points to close at 7,811.82 while the liquid MPI depreciated 11.00 points to close at 7,248.81.

Retail Investors were dominant through out the day compared to Institutional and High net worth investors. Foreign selling outperformed foreign buying to record a net foreign outflow of Rs 157.89 million.

Price losers outnumbered the price gainers with 169 counters declining in price and only 70 counters appreciating in price.
