Scouts cycle parade from today

The Scout cycle parade from North to South organized by the Sri Lanka Boy Scouts Association will commence today from Point Pedro, Jaffna.

This will be held in connection with the centenary of the Sri Lanka Boy Scouts Movement and also to commemorate the 155th birth centenary of Sir Baden Powel, the founder of the Scouts Movement.

Douglas Devananda Minister of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development and C Batuwangala, Chief Scout Commissioner will grace to opening ceremony in Jaffna. This cycle parade will come to an end on February 22 at Dondra, Matara. The 29th Asian Pacific Jamboree too will be held with this ceremony.
