Major honours for Mahanama

Mahanama College took first innings honours over Nalanda College in their inter-school under 19 cricket tournament match which ended in a draw at Katunayake yesterday.

Nalanda: 203 and 187 (P. Wickremasinghe 51, C. Kumarasinghe 35, L. Jayakody 32, S. Wickremasinghe 33, C. Wanniarachchi 4 for 45, D. Tissakuttige 2 for 17).

Mahanama: 223 (H. Perera 47, D. Tissakuttige 25, D. Rusiru 32, G. Madawatte 3 for 33, K. Dansuhka 2 for 45) and 38 for no loss.

Antonians fight-back

St. Anthony's College fought back well in their second innings to pile up 324 for 7 and force a draw to their inter-school under 19 cricket tournament match against D. S. Senanayake College which concluded at Wijerama Mawatha yesterday.
