Trust fund to develop Namal Uyana

A Trust Fund was established to develop the National Namal Uyana at a ceremony at the Parliamentary Complex last Tuesday under the guidance of Prime Minister D M Jayaratne.

This is to protect the Namal Uyana for the future generation.

The National Namal Uyana Trust Fund Chairman will be Namal Rajapaksa MP and the President's Parliamentary Secretary Kumarasiri Hettige will function as the Secretary.

The other Members are Environmental Ministry Secretary R H M Samaratunge, President's Senior Assistant Secretaries Harsha Wijewardena and Lalith Sepala Ratnayake, Forest Conservation Department Director General, Sri Lanka Red Cross Chairman Jagath Abeysinghe and journalist Duminda Sanjiva Balasooriya.
