Special train service from Feb 16 to 19

The Sri Lanka Railways will operate an intercity train service between Colombo-Fort and Bandarawela from February 16 to 19 in response to requests made by commuters in view of Prophet Mohammed's birthday and Navam Full Moon Poya Day, the ensuing weekend and the Sri Pada season.

On February 16 and 18, an intercity train will leave Colombo Fort at 8.35 am and reach Bandarawela at 4.10 pm. On February 17 and 19 it will leave Bandarawela at 6.40 am and reach Colombo Fort at 2.20 pm.

On its way to Bandarawela it will stop over at Peradeniya, Gampola, Nawalapitiya, Hatton, Talawekelle, Nanuoya, Ohiya, Haputale and Diyatalawa.

On its returning it will stop at the same stations in addition to Ambewela, Great Western, Watawala and Polgahawela.
