Medvedev demands to strengthen security measures
Rusia: Russian President Dmitri Medvedev demanded Thursday to
strengthen security measures in the national transportation system after
inspecting a train station Moscow where inadequacies in the facilities'
protection were detected.
Medvedev underlined the need to implement effective and permanent
measures and called on focusing on the need to keep the same attention
on all the means of transportation.
After the January 24 terrorist attack at Domodedovo airport, Russian
authorities redoubled the security service in the entries of aerial
terminals, but the measures are less visible in train and subway
stations.
