Anti doping tests
About 30 Anti Doping Tests will be done on cricketers taking part in
ICC World Coup series in Sri Lanka. Medical services will be provided in
such a way every match will be covered by a medical team comprising
three doctors, nurse and assistant with three ambulances according to
ICC standards.
All 12 matches and practice matches will be covered by Institute of
Sports Medicine of Ministry of Sports and Anti Doping Tests will be done
by National Anti Doping Organization of Sri Lanka in concurrence with
ICC.
Dr Githanjan Mendis, Director General of Institute of Sports Medicine
and Chairman of National Anti Doping Organization said all arrangements
have been already made. In addition there will be medical cover in
hotels as well.
