Deyata Kirula strong platform for development - PM

Deyata Kirula creates a strong platform for overall development of the country through an attitudinal change, said Prime Minister D M Jayaratne.

The Prime Minister said so participating at the concluding ceremony of the Deyata Kirula Exhibition held in Buttala, Moneragala. The Government has allocated billions of funds for the country’s development. Under these development initiatives many mega scale development projects are being carried out throughout the country. The country is on a fast development track. An attitudinal change can expedite the ongoing development ratio since it gives an immense back up to create a strong mentality.

The Prime Minister further said that certain countries have expedited the development ratio through an attitudinal change.

”The Deyata Kirula exhibition is helpful build a strong mentality which drives the nation to achieve its development goals,” the Prime Minister added.

The Organization Committee of the exhibition including Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister and Deyata Kirula Exhibition Organization Committee Chairman Ranjith Siyambalapitiya has taken measures to create an attitudinal change and a strong mentality among people by showcasing the country’s ancient and proud, the Prime Minister said.

On the advice of President Mahinda Rajapaksa the next Deyata Kirula Exhibition will be held in the Anuradhapura district which will experience rapid development. The Government will upgrade infrastructure and living standards in the Anuradhapura district since the district was badly affected by the recent floods, the Premier noted.
