Shehan Jayasuriya could not prevent formidable St Thomas College, Mount
Lavinia gaining a first innings lead of 44 runs against Prince of Wales'
College in their inter-school under 19 cricket match concluded at
Moratuwa.
Continuing at 178 for 6 on day two, Thomians declared at 247 for 9
with Damith Pathirana contributing 51 runs. Cambrians in reply made 203
with Shehan Jayasuriya putting up resistance. Ravin Chandrakumara
claimed 5 for 54 for the visitors. In their second essay when bad light
stopped play at 5 pm visitors were 98 for 4.
