Sri Lanka youth captain Bhanuka Rajapaksa hit a fighting half century
and spinner Devin Pathmanathan took a five wicket haul to put Royal
College in a commanding position on the opening day of their inter
school under 19 cricket tournament match against St. Sebastian’s
College, Moratuwa which commenced at Reid Avenue yesterday.
Royal: 189 (B. Rajapaksa 58, R. Rambukwella 21, I. Liyanage 19, M.
Fernando 3 for 49, A. Aponso 3 for 40) and 2 for no loss.

Middle order batsman Lahiru Milantha hit a splendid 112 to propel St.
Peter’s College to a commanding 286 for 7 in their first innings on the
opening day of their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match
against Moratu MV which began at Bambalapitiya yesterday.
