Navy continues flood relief operations

The Sri Lanka Navy is engaged in flood relief operations to save lives and provide relief assistance to the people affected by floods.

Flood relief teams have been deployed to Batticaloa district, Trincomalee district, Polonnaruwa district and Anuradhapura district. Meanwhile flood relief teams are in the Mannar and Puttalam districts providing assistance to the residents.

In addition, emergency flood relief teams are on stand by in the naval bases for contingency deployment. The Navy is monitoring the flood situation and is in constant contact with the disaster management officials and Government institutions for smooth operations of the relief measures under implementation.
