Badminton Training Program

A Badminton training program for school children in the Uva Province will be held on February 5 and 6 at the Indoor stadium, Hunugalla Estate, Hali Ela, Badulla. The program will be from 8.0 to 5.0 p.m on both days. The training has been arranged to coincide with the Deyata Kirula Exhibition which commences on February 4.

The SLBA conducts this program as part of their talent search program, to develop the sport and also to popularize the game in the outstations. The Association also hopes to find the talented 20 Boys and Girls under 17 shuttlers and to support them to reach the national level. The selected players will be provided with all equipment and training. The training session is arranged by the Foreign Employment Minister Dilan Perera, along with the Uva Province Badminton Association the President of the Hunugalla Estate Indoor stadium.
