It was confusing

The Inter-District cricket tournament came to a conclusion amidst confusion and uncertainty. Why it had to be so was inexplicable.

While the adjudicators decided on Kumar Sangakkara as the "Batsman of the tournament and final." Cricketers and cricket fans were querying as to why the award for the 'Man of the series' was not made.

From what we can gather, the cricketers competing for this award were discards for the World Cup fifteen Sanath Jayasuriya and Chaminda Vaas. Both had performed creditably as all rounders and one of them, or jointly should have won this award.

Was it not awarded so as to save the blushes of the selectors? Ask cricket fans.
