Romeo flees with jewellery

Marawila police are conducting investigations into a theft of gold jewellery worth Rs 93,000 from a girl with whom the young man who stole the jewellery was spending time at the Marawila coast.

This young man was suspected to have given the girl a glass of aerated water after putting some sleeping tablets and as she slept he had removed her jewellery and fled away.The girl made a complaint to the Marawila police and confessed that she and the youth were in love for a long time and had come to this type of places to enjoy.

She said she drank what was given to her and fell asleep. After getting up she understood that her lover had fled away with her jewellery.

The Marawila police are conducting investigations to nab the girl's lover.
