Panchayudas stolen

A woman suspected to be the mother of a child studying at Mahiyangana National School is alleged to have stolen two gold panchayudas from two schoolchildren, Mahiyangana police said.

The woman had come to the school to help the Year One students to put covers to their books and had gone missing with the Panchayudas.

Investigations are being conducted by SI Chaturanga on the instructions of Mahiyangana Police OIC D C D Ilangakoon.
