CP schools closed till Jan 14

All Government schools in the Central Province will be closed till January 14 due to the adverse weather conditions prevailing in the area, said Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake.

The Chief Minister was addressing a meeting at the Chief Minister's office yesterday to discuss the current situation due to torrential rains in the district. Meanwhile the Central Province Education Department has been informed that about 10 Government schools in the district have been badly affected due to heavy rains in last few days. Central Province Education Director Wijesiri Herath has requested the principals of all such schools to inform the extent of damage to their schools.
