CIMA Corporate Partners 2011
The Sri Lanka Division of the Chartered Institute of Management
Accountants (CIMA) launched the Corporate Partner Program for the fourth
consecutive year. This Program was initiated in 2007 keeping in line
with the global growth strategy underpinned by strong and effective
partnering programs with employers around the world. This flagship
program is specially designed to establish affinities with leading
corporate organisations in Sri Lanka so that they could mutually benefit
from CIMA’s high brand recognition and compatible professionalism and
values.
“Driving National Professional Excellence” was the theme of the 2011
program that was launched at a well-attended ceremony held on January 10
at Colombo’s Cinnamon Grand Hotel. The success of past programs was
quite evident as a higher number of ‘top shelf’ companies have signed up
this year than last year from a variety of sectors.

Associated Motorways (Private) Ltd. Cargills (Ceylon) PLC, Chemical

CIMA Markets Executive Director Andrew Harding said “Sri Lankans
signed up to the CIMA program in larger numbers than ever during 2010.
CIMA has a proud history in the country and its qualifications have
enabled thousands of Sri Lankans to have rewarding careers with
reputable businesses both at home and abroad. Sri Lanka is now emerging
from a difficult period and establishing itself as a leader among the
world’s developing nations. The young and talented workforce of Sri
Lanka is proving to be a major national asset as global business
searches for talent.
CIMA Sri Lanka is continuing to support the ambitions of young Sri
Lankans. In 2010 CIMA training was launched in Jaffna, Trincomalee and
Batticaloa to ensure that education opportunities are available as
people in those areas rebuild prosperity. The new CIMA Sri Lanka Board
ensures that CIMA’s work in the country is relevant and focused.
