Cambrians hold DSS to a draw

Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa drew with D S Senanayake Vidyalala, Colombo in their Under-19 School Cricket match concluded at Moratuwa.

Resuming at 22 for 2 on day two visitors went on to score 304 runs with Heshan Perera making the top score of 89 runs. Tharindu Dilshan bagged 4 for 94 for the Cambrians.

In their second essay homesters were 78 for 5 when bad light stopped play at 5pm with Isuru Thilina unbeaten on 33 runs.

Chief scores:

Prince of Wales: 174 and 78/5 (Chaminda Sasanka 20, Isuru Thilina 33 n.o, Ushantha Perera 2/13).

D S Senanayake: 22/2 overnight - 304 (Chamal Wickramasinghe 44, Heshan Perera 89, Ushantha Perera 49, Mohamed Ijaz 23, Tarindu Dilshan 4/94, Isuru Thilina 2/73, Bindu Upeksha 2/20).
