Kidnapping case:

Warrants re-issued

Kesbewa Chief Magistrate Ayesha Jinasena re-issued a warrant for the arrest of the main suspect in a kidnapping case Friday. The main suspect is wanted in connection with kidnapping, fabricating evidence against a Senior Judge using his grandniece and a domestic aide and criminal intimidation of the complainant grandniece of the Senior Judge.

The Chief Magistrate directed a copy of the warrant be issued to the Director National Intelligence Bureau to arrest the suspect and produce him before court.

Court also ordered the Piliyandala Police investigations into the case to record statements of the other three suspects and produce them before court on the next date.
