House for war hero
The Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch handed over a newly
constructed house to a disabled war hero of the regiment recently.
The house for disabled war hero Signalman Thennakoon MMG of 6 Sri
Lanka Signal Corps (6 SLSC) was constructed at Kapela in Dambulla.
All the required furniture and kitchen appliances were also provided
by the SLSC Seva Vanith Branch. Late Kaushalya Senaweera, wife of
Brigadier (Retd) K J N Senaweera RSP Ldmc made this endeavour a reality
with the financial assistance of Ashoka Balasuriya.
The house worth of Rs 1.3 million opened by Brig (Retd) KJN Senaweera
RSP Ldmc yesterday, January 6. Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha
Branch Chairperson Sandamali Abeysekera, senior officers of the Regiment
also participated.
The Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch initiated numerous
welfare projects for the war heroes betterment under the leadership of
its chairperson Sandamali Abeysekera.
