Pre-school teacher stabbed to death

A person who entered a house at Tumbulla in Alawwa on Dec 22 made away having stabbed to death the pre-school teacher Sandya Kumari. The victim was a mother of 24 year old with one child.

At the time only her mother and child were in the house.

The police said that this incident has occurred due to a love affair.

The suspect known as Samantha Kumara of Tumbulla was arrested by Alawwa police while he was trying to commit suicide by taking insecticide in a jungle nearby. He was produced before the Warakapola Magistrate Ajith Masinghe and remanded.
