The Chairman also said that the ANCL achieved significant progress during the last couple of years and it has become one of the top institutions in Sri Lanka.

He said that the commitment of the ANCL employees was a major reason for its growth and success.

He also said that he hoped to maintain ANCL as number one in the print media industry.

The ANCL is a Government print media institution which has played a major role during the war and now its duty is to take part in development work which commenced after clearing the LTTE.

The Government is now working towards a target to meet the economic growth and has successfully commenced the construction of a harbour and an airport.

The country is on the road to development after war and the President's vision for the second term is development.

He began his second term as the country needs development.

The Chairman also said that he has confidence in the ANCL staff and he would make necessary arrangements to develop the ANCL. He also requested the Editorial staff to give top priority to 2600 Sri Sambuddha Jayanthi.
