CDB into fund and fee-based products

The Citizens Development Business Finance Ltd. (CDB) has ventured into fund and fee-based business expanding its product portfolio.

Citizens Development Business Finance Ltd. (CDB) CEO Mahesh Nanayakkara said the finance industry in Sri Lanka has a narrow product portfolio.

The customers are keen on new products in the financial industry. Therefore, the company has introduced fund and fee-based products to the customers.

He said the company now has authorized money dealers providing easy access to foreign exchange money transactions to consumers. The country’s showing a significant growth momentum. Giant global footprints and investors are into large projects. These huge projects has encouraged the local and foreign investors commendably and lendings have improved remarkably. He said the company expects to mobilize deposits from the rural sector as a net lender to the rural community. CDB is keen on expanding its branch network during this year establishing in the Northern and Eastern provinces.

The company performed extremely well last year and is hoping to continue the growth momentum in the future as well, Nanayakkara said.
