Navin, Tehani win national titles

Navin Samarasinghe beat Saman Tillekeratne to win the Men's Open
Senior National Squash Championship while Tehani Guruge became the
champion in the women's catogery when she beat Nadindi Udangawa in the
finals held at Gymkhana squash court yesterday.
Binura Jayasuriya won the third place by beating Gihan Suwaris in the
Men's Open and Sharya Guruge second runner-up in the women's open,
defeating Mandakini Gunasekara.
The award ceremony was held at the same venue and there were two
special awards for those who performed well in the tournament. Navin
Samarasinghe was awarded the Rentokil Challenge Trophy while Tenhani
Guruge was presented the Sanitact Challenge Trophy. All certificates and
trophies were given away by the chief guest Director Finlay Thushara
Alles.
