Infrastructure Senior Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayake said.
He said, Sri Lanka is a country that will not interfere with the
internal crisis of other countries. Many other countries don't interfere
with internal matters of Sri Lanka.
Countries which have been interfering are requested not to meddle
with internal matters, Senior Minister Rathnasiri Wickramanayake said at
a meeting held at Kirigalahena, Horana recently.
An electrification scheme was commissioned at Kirigalahena at a cost
of Rs 22.4 million.
The project provides electricity to more than 500 families in the
area.
Wickramanayake said the country imports every essential food item
from other countries, it will affect local producers.
He said "If we are ready to purchase and depend on imported items we
will never become self-sufficient".
The Government will not provide temporary solutions. It is certain
that the people will achieve a bright future in two years.
He said the country has internal and external enemies. They are not
given opportunities to divide the country and create terrorism.
The Government appreciates constructive criticism. If any political
party, criticises the country without responsibility will adversely
affect the country.
Friends and enemies should be distinguished. Enemies will act as
friends putting the country into a chaotic situation.
