Remote schools upgraded to ease congestion

Measures have been taken to uplift the standards of 12 schools in the Anuradhapura District according to the concept of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, to develop 1000 schools in remote areas to reduce congestion in popular schools.

Accordingly, standards of schools in Kaluwila Rambawa, Pehibiyagollewa, Kedawa, Kuda Nelubawa, Kalatthawa Periymiyankulama, Gambirisgaswewa, Nambiyawa, Ambagahawewa and Galadivulwewa in the Anuradhapura District will be upgraded.

North Central Province Education Director H M K Jinapala said that apart from the uplifting of standards, these schools will be provided with required teachers and other resources.
