Batticaloa District Secretary Sundaram Arumainagam said 3,727 development programs are carried out in the Batticaloa district during this year and 89 percent of them have been completed.

The Secretary disclosed these at the development review committee meeting held under the patronage of Deputy Minister M L A M Hisbulla.

The District Secretary said Rs 15,000 million has been received as foreign donations to conduct these development programs.

Deputy Ministers Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan, Basheer Segu Dawood, T N A Parlaimentarians, Departmental Heads and Defence Ministry officers participated.
