Tourist arrivals will increase to 700,000 next year

This week the 600,000th tourist arrived here:

Sri Lanka's tourist arrivals will increase to 700,000 next year with the launch of Visit Sri Lanka 2011, said Economic Development Deputy Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardhana yesterday.

Visit Sri Lanka 2011 was declared by President Mahinda Rajapaksa after the dawn of peace in the country. Sri Lanka Tourism launched a campaign Refreshingly Sri Lanka 2011 at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London last month to receive the targeted tourists.

The communication campaign 'Refreshingly Sri Lanka' was created with the help and support of the industry.
