National Security Day in Jaffna

The Government has decided to conduct National Security Day this year in Jaffna on December 26, said Public Administration and Home Affairs Ministry Secretary P B Abeykoon.

The Government has also decided to observe two minutes silence on this day from 9.25 to 9.27 am in memory of all Sri Lankans who had died from disasters including the 2004 tsunami, he said.

A circular issued in this regard has been sent to all Ministry Secretaries, Provincial Council and Chief Secretaries, Heads of departments and corporations and District Secretaries.
