Fruit cultivation to be extended

Steps have been taken by the Agriculture Ministry of the NWP, to extend the Fruit Cultivation program in the Kurunegala District.

It is expected to grow 3,400 hectares of fruits, in ten Provincial Secretariat Divisions in the Kurunegala District, using modern methods of cultivation. mango, pineapple, banana and papaw are to be grown at the first stage, according to Agriculture Ministry sources.
