Sampath opens second Anuradhapura branch

Once an ancient capital of the island, Anuradhapura was home to a proud culture. Today, the splendour of Anuradhapura with its palaces, monasteries and monuments draws many pilgrims and tourist to this sacred city. The glory of this great city was revived with the establishment of the first Sampath Bank branch in 1995. Fifteen years later this prosperity doubles with the opening of Anuradhapura's second Sampath Bank Branch. This 168th Branch was opened at 521/19 Maithripala Senanayake Mawatha, New Town, Anuradhapura, recently.

The branch offers a variety of financial services including high returns on savings accounts, minimum interest on housing loans, leasing schemes for agricultural equipment and vehicles and pawning facilities.

It is also equipped with the latest technology to reduce processing time for transactions and fully automated on-line services which adds up to the convenience of carrying out transactions at the customer's own expediency. With the opening of this branch a new era in banking services and facilities is now made available to the people of Anuradhapura.

Due to the rapid development of this city, there is an increase in demand for banking services, and it is with this in mind that Sampath has ventured in opening this second branch for the convenience of its customers.

In this way the branch aims to maintain the development of the area with the provision of high quality services.

Sampath is recognized as one of leaders in the banking sector with many international and national awards to its credit.

With the opening of this Branch the people of this sacred city and its suburbs can be assured of excellent banking facilities keeping in mind Sampath's concept that the "Customer Comes First" in every sense.


ComBank's Paymaster demo

Representatives of leading corporate institutions gained valuable insight into making ETF payments a hassle free online process at the latest awareness program on 'Paymaster', an innovative electronic payment mechanism offered by the Commercial Bank of Ceylon.

More than 100 participants were given hands on experience on using the application at this workshop conducted at Colombo's Taj Samudra Hotel recently. The range of benefits offered by the web based application was also demonstrated at the event. These include the minimization of transaction time, costs and risks associated with the physical handing of money and the ability to make virtually any type of payment to multiple recipients by uploading a file to Commercial Bank's web platform.
