Akkaraipattu “Ihsan Matharasa” cricket team emerged Champions and clinched “ Anwari Qurani Mini Champion Challenge Cup” beating “Hathee Matharasa” by 15 runs in the finals of the first ever limited over Cricket encounter organized by Akkaraipattu Anwaril Qurani Madarasa concluded at Akkaraipattu Muslim Central College grounds, recently.

Batting first Ihsan Matharasa scored 73 runs in their allotted 8 overs with Lafir top scored with 26 runs and Samli with 16 runs. Asram captured 2 wickets giving 18 runs. In reply Hathee Matharasa were all out for 57 in 7.5 overs.

Managing Director Nukemi M N Naphiel who was the Chief Guest at the finals and gave away the Champion trophy while the runner’s cup was awarded by Managing Director of the New Signature M I Mufeeth, the main sponsor of the tournament.
