Gampaha District relay champions

More than 2,500 athletes from 32 schools and 38 sports clubs in Gampaha District participated in the relay carnival organized by the Gampaha District Athletic Association recently.

Maris Stella College, Negombo obtained 100 points to clinch the boy’s overall championship while Gateway Sports Club collected 49 points to emerge runners-up.

The third place went to Lyceum Sports Club which finished one point behind to Gateway Sports Club. Mary Immaculate Sports Club, Thudella grabbed the girl’s overall title with 66 points. Ave Mariya Sports Club, Negombo (60 points) and Lyceum Sports Club (29 points) won the second and third places in the girl’s category respectively.
