The Second Reading of the Appreciation Bill 2011 was passed with a
majority of 104 votes in Parliament yesterday.
One hundred and fifty members voted in favour of the budget and 46
against it.
The DWA and UNP voted against and the TNA members were absent at the
time of the vote.
The Third Reading of the Committee Stage of the budget commences
today and the final vote will be taken on December 10. |
