Minister aims at technology revolutions

Measures will be taken to intake a space exploration program within the next decade, said Technology and Research Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi after assuming duties.

Developing indigenous science technologies and acquiring latest technology from overseas will create a technological revolution in the country, she added.

The Ministry has a huge role to play to develop the country and eliminate poverty from the country, she said.

Scientific Affairs Senior Minister Prof Tissa Vitharana, Technology and Research Deputy Minister Faiszer Musthapha, Ministry Secretary Dhara Wijethilake and several institutional heads were also present.
