Development Budget, says SSU Chairman
The 2011 Budget presented by President Mahinda Rajapaksa targets
development in Sri Lanka. It is also a Budget with focus on people in
the State and the private sectors, State Service Union (SSU) Chairman W
H Piyadasa said addressing a press conference at the Western Province
Governor's Office yesterday. The complicated tax system has been
simplified from this Budget.
It provides relief for everyone. This Budget will reduce the
inflation rate from 28 percent to five percent, he added.
The Budget will help solve unemployment, said All Island State
Management Assistants Organization Chairman W G Muthubanda.
He said this Budget moves away from being a traditional Budget and
they hope to discuss matters concerning salary anomalies with the
Government.
