Home for doggies and kitties
Meows all over the place |
The Animals' Welfare & Protection Association (AWPA) receives calls
everyday regarding puppies and kittens. Last Saturday I received a call
that a mother dog had given birth to seven pups on the pavement outside
the UGC office at Ward Place.
One of the grown ups needing a home |
Regretfully the AWPA is unable to take in more animals to their
shelters which are already overcrowded. We were also told that this
mother dog had already had a previous litter of 11 pups. We will do our
best to sterilize this mother dog before she litters again. If anyone
wants a pup please call Adrian (Dehiwala) - 0777-260-588 or K D Dammika
Damayanthi, 225 Godagama Kanda, Homagama - 2876166 or Maheshi in
Battaramulla (one female pup) 0772-379-071 or Helen in Nugegoda -
2856350 regarding these little ones.
The AWPA also receives requests to re-home adult dogs and cats
(brought up lovingly as pets) due to various circumstances. They are
aged from 1 - 8 years, sterilized and immunized. Recently Maalu Paan and
Judy found loving homes.
If there is anyone who can give a home to an adult dog please contact
