Triad continues award winning spree

Winning multiple awards for effective creative ideas at Effie Awards 2010, Triad - once again proves that they have today become one of the most celebrated features of any awards show held within the local advertising industry.

Mobitel CEO Suren J Amarasekera and Triad Joint Managing Director, Dilith Jayaweera, together with both teams, accepting the Silver award for Mobitel ‘Digin Digata Katha’ at the Effie Awards 2010.

The honours for the international award winning agency came from the prestigious social responsibility award which was won for the campaign Uthuru Mithuru - significantly the only award given away that night within the category and more so momentous for the agency as it was a campaign created not merely as a communication drive but in a bid to unite the entire country after post-war destruction.

The highlight among Triad's awards was the coveted Silver for Mobitel Digin Digata Katha - which was won in one of the most keenly contested categories at the awards show - and was incidentally awarded the Most Popular 'TV Commercial of the Year' at the recently concluded Sumathi Tele Awards. Mobitel's IDD campaign also won them another metal - a bronze, endorsing the prowess of the agency.

Triad Executive Director Michael Holsinger said, "Triad has always been a firm believer of strategically focused, effective creative ideas, with strong insights, which has to-date helped us to differentiate the brands we handle from competition.

"This win only adds to our strong and long-standing reputation and reconfirms our creative supremacy in the industry." According to Michael, the win at Effies, further adds to Triad's confidence and gives them the courage to take their work to many international awards shows which judge creative excellence.

Triad COO Sarva Ameresekera said winning consistently clearly demonstrates teamwork and perfect synergy between the agency and the client. "We are deeply committed to our credo 'Sri Lanka Can' and proudly share this success with our clients - who are an extension of our agency and our valued partners in the brand building process," Sarva said.

"Considering the two metals won for Mobitel as case in point, Sarva says "it's a good example of our client-agency relationship and how we can together take a brand to greater heights."

These Effie Awards are the latest in numerous prestigious advertising industry awards that Triad has continued to bag over the years and the team now eagerly looks forward to meeting the challenges of 2011, retaining their leadership whilst offering brand centric, consumer driven, locally relevant communication ideas.

Winning these Effies endorses Triad's commitment to be an inspiration to local agencies that are committed to raise the bar of communication excellence in Sri Lanka.
