Rajapakse beats Priyantha

Jagath Rajapakse beat three times former national champion and veterans number one (1) player Lalith Priyantha in a thrilling five setter in the semi finals of the over 40 men's singles which kept the spectators spellbound at the Veterans All Island Age Group Knock-out TT tournament conducted successfully by the Veterans Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka (VTTASL) yesterday, at the Race Course Hall tables with more than 50 participants.

Women's Singles 40-49: Nilmini Swarnakanthi beat Pushpa Colombathanthri 3/0.

Men's Doubles 40-49: Lalith Priyantha and Jagath Rajapakse beat Priyantha Perera and Major Heshan Bulanawewa 3/0.

Men's Doubles over 50: Dietmar Doering and Rajiva Wijetunge beat Dr. G N Lucas and Sarath Wijesuriya 3/2.

Women's Doubles over 40: Nilmini Swarnakanthi and Amara Chandratilake beat Daya Peiris and Ira Ruwanpathirana 3/1.

Mixed Doubles over 40: Lalith Priyantha and Ira Ruwanpathirana beat Dietmar Doering and Dr. Sriyani Mihindukulasuriya 3/0.
