Black and Gold carnival
The Old Boys Association together with the 2005 Batch of D S
Senanayake College has come up with a project to re-launch the Black and
Gold Carnival after 13 years.

They hope to bring back this spectacular event on the month of
December and hope to create awareness of this unique icon of the college
to the country post war and wish to continue the legacy annually for
years to come!
The event is scheduled for December 18 and 19 from 3 pm to 12
midnight at the Race Course Grounds, Colombo.
The highlights of the event are entertainment from popular artists
such as Gypsies, BnS, Iraj, Lahiru Perera, Nadini Premadasa, Surenie De
Mel and more. There are various different activities such as fashion
shows choreographed by Tania Reimers, fire limbo shows, motor shows, dog
shows by the Sri Lanka Air force and others.
The parabolic stage and the LED Backdrop will be concealed by the
newer series of the JBL Line Array Sound System which will be used for
the 1st time in Sri Lanka.
The grounds will be complete with stalls of diverse categories such
as Food and beverages, clothing and accessories, children's toys,
education and electronics. Games and competitions for the children,
appearance of Santa Claus and common activities like the Merry-go-round
and Giant Wheels are sure to keep the audience entertained throughout
the day. |
