BDFI dance festival gathers momentum
The BDFI Dance Festival is gathering momentum, with entries coming
from all parts of the island.
An evening of promising entertainment with national Hip Hop and Line
dance competition for children and adults is on the cards. The
International segment will have 15 belly dancers from the Asia Pacific
region vying for the coveted trophy.
The dance which is held for the first time in Sri Lanka will have
competitors from three and half years to 60 years vying for solo, couple
and team segments.
The juveniles and juniors will showcase talent by performing solo and
duo acts for the Ritzbury Trophy.
They will also vie for the Junior Line Dance, Hip Hop and Belly
individual segments as well as in the Junior crew competition.
The national event which is open to all boys and girls with a flair
for dancing, will also be provided training by BDFI instructors
specialized in different dance disciplines.

forms and have fun becoming a rising star. At request of many entries
will be accepted till November 22.
This dance festival presented by BDFI mark their fifth year
celebrations which will be held at Ceylon Continental Hotel on December
20 in the form of a dinner dance event.
