Fifteen designated sites in Kandy

The Kandy Municipal Council designated 15 sites where cutouts, banners, posters and advertisements could be displayed in the city of Kandy. Displaying them in other places was deemed a punishable offence with effect from yesterday(16). Accordingly the police has granted permission to display cutouts, banners, posters and advertisements only in the following locations.

Good shed bus stand, opposite the Mahaiyawa Darmaduwa and St. Sylvester's College, opposite Vidyartha College, Nittawela culvert, Katugastota old market, Peradeniya bridge, Gannoruwa bridge, red culvert in Attidiya road, Arewpola, Mavilmada, Ranawana, Gohagoda, Sirimavo Bandaranaike and Haloluwa roads and junctions and the Buwelikada region beyond the Senkadagala Buddhist Centre .
