Litro appoints directors, unveils new logo

Litro Gas officially unveiled its logo and released the first batch of cylinders to the market yesterday. The company formerly known as Shell Gas was acquired by the Government early this month.

The new director board was also appointed on Monday in consultation with President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Gamini Senarath has been appointed Chairman of Litro Lanka Limited and Litro Gas Terminal Lanka. Piyadasa Kudabalage was appointed as Managing Director and CEO of the company.

Mohan de Alwis has been appointed as the Executive Director.

Litro Lanka Limited and Litro Gas Terminal Lanka Chairman Gamini Senarath said the company would perform very professionally and contribute in a profitable manner. The company will be managed by the same management, but under the purview of the new director board.

There will be no retrenchment in Litro Lanka Limited and Litro Gas Terminal Lanka. "The Government will ensure the job security of all employees including the distribution network," he said. CdeS
