President’s second term commemoration:

Tree planting in Addalaichenai

In a meeting held recently under the patronage of Eastern Province Road Development, Housing and Construction, Irrigation, Rural Electrification and Water Supply Minister M S Uthumalebbe MPC at the Addalaichenai Divisional Secretariat, it was decided to plant 2,500 saplings on November 15 starting at 10.07 a.m. to commemorate the swearing of the President for the second term.

Local Government and Provincial Councils Minister A L M Athaulla will be the chief guest and M S Uthumalebbe will be the guest of honour at the occasion. These saplings will be planted from the Oluvil South East University Junction to Addalaichenai Thaika Nagar, along both sides of the roads, Addalaichenai Ashraff Road, Olivil Ashraff Nagar Road, Allamkulam, Road, Playgrounds Cemeteries, Schools, Mosques, Divisional Secretariat and Pradeshiya Sabhas.

This project has been organized by the Addalaichenai Divisional Secretariat, with the help of the Pradeshiya Sabhas, Zonal Education Dept-Akkaraipattu, Akkaraipattu Police, Olivil University, Ports Authority-Oluvil, Authorities of the Forest Department, youth clubs and other societies and school principals and Mosques.

here will also be religious ceremony at the Addalaichenai Jummah Mosque Cultural Hall to invoke blessing on the President.
