Maldivian women soccerites were here
The South Asian Women's Football Championship is scheduled to be
played in Maldives next month.
As part of their preparation the Maldivian team played a few friendly
games in Sri Lanka with the Sri Lanka women's team. The first game was
played on Friday at the Vernon Fernando stadium which the Sri Lanka team
won comfortably two goals to nil led by Shanika Rajapaksa.
The goal scorers for the Lankan team were Angela and Achini. The
Maldivian team is skippered by Mariyam Nirfath.
Kalutara League President Rahula Siriwardene was the chief guest for
the friendly match. |
