Workshop For Hambantota English Teachers

Janoda Foundation organized a three day workshop using innovative methods in English for 36 selected English teachers for Hambantota Zone on October 25, 26, 27 in collaboration with Zonal Education Office Hambantota and Southern Provincial Development Authority.

The objective of the workshop is to share ideas and to find out the problems faced by Zonal English teachers and the necessary solutions.

The topic of discussion was the importance of spoken in the classroom, shortage of English trained teachers and lack of opportunity to practise speaking in the schools due to lack of modern facilities.

At the end of workshop the co-founder share project Peter Kenny has pointed out to establish a network to English teachers where they able to share their ideas and resources and start facilities for teaches of English for professional development.
