Three shot in restaurant

Two unidentified gunmen entered a restaurant in Minuwangoda and shot
and killed three persons who were having a conversation.
The manager of the restaurant is among the victims. According to
Minuwangoda Police sources, the suspects arrived at the scene on a motor
bicycle and the shooting took place at 10.30 p.m on Thursday. The
deceased have been identified as Ananda Hettiarachchi of Asgiriya,
Chaminda Kiriella of Gampaha and Sameera Rukshan.
The Police believe that the suspects who used pistols for the
shooting are well trained gunmen.
Investigations are being conducted by a special Police team attached
to the Gampaha police. |
