Disney's Demi too sick to tour

PETE SAMSON, US Editor

Demi Lovato

Teenage Disney star Demi Lovato has quit a music tour to get medical treatment for 'emotional and physical issues'.

The 18-year-old singer and actress was forced to pull out of gigs in South America supporting The Jonas Brothers.

She shot to fame in Disney's Camp Rock movies and TV sitcom Sonny With A Chance.

A spokeswoman said yesterday, "Demi left her tour early in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time.

"Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help.

"She regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future."

Demi, who has released two albums, dated Jonas brother Joe.

The precise nature of her problems has not been revealed.
